The tenacity, grit, and persistence of women has shaped the history of the SouthCoast, yet the stories and perspectives of women have been largely untold. This summer, Lighting the Way is telling these stories within the walls of New Bedford Whaling Museum. This exhibit features a sampling of the women profiled on the Lighting the Way website. These women had varied callings, but their lives come together to help tell the story of the SouthCoast.
